inspiHER Self-Defense & Cyber Safety Workshop

 The inspiHER Girls Leadership Foundation will be hosting a FREE Self-Defense & Cyber Safety Workshop on Saturday, August 7th at Thomas Ewing Junior High in Lancaster, Ohio.  This workshop is designed specifically for girls in grades 5-8 and will cover basic self-defense education and cyber safety tips and strategies for young adults and their families. 

*All registered participants are required to bring one adult female (mom, guardian, aunt, grandma, etc) to attend and actively participant in the workshop.

Workshop sessions will be delivered by trained professionals from the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office and will include the following:

Session One -  Self-Defense Basics:  This interactive session will focus on creating an awareness and strong survival-oriented attitude in the area of self-defense tactics and techniques.  The information presented will be coupled with specific physical training.

Session Two - Cyber Safety:  This session will focus on the DO's and DON'Ts of social media and will teach young girls the importance of responsible digital citizenship and ways to keep themselves and their friends safe online.

All individuals that register BEFORE Friday, July 23rd will receive a free event t-shirt.  Please indicate your t-shirt size in the registration form.
